Skyway 24/7 Server Co-location Rates
24/7 server colocation is for customers requiring the comfort of knowing their Internet servers are accessible to them on demand. The monthly charge includes space in a secure co location faciltiy, a 100 Mbps Internet port and 5 static IP addresses. Power is purchased separately.
Customer supplies and manages their own switch, firewall, servers and server back up.
All services include static IP addresses and complimentary DNS hosting and email login accounts. Read more about the benefits of Skyway's co-locate services.
Our server colocate space includes a certan amount of free Internet traffic measured in either Mbps or GB depending on the customer's preference. Mbps billing is less expensive for customers whose Internet traffic is constant throughout every day. GB billing is less expensive if the traffic is concentrated into an 8 to 10 hour hour period. The Mbps and GB traffic both use Telus and Level3 for transit, and exchange traffic with other providers at Vancouver's Peer1 Internet Exchange (PIX) (e.g. Shaw, BCNet, TeraGo, etc.) and Seattle's Internet Exchange (SIX) (e.g. Microsoft, Real Networks, Yahoo, etc.). Mbps traffic also uses Cogent for transit. GB traffic also use Bell Canada for transit.

*Internet traffic can theoritically peak to 100 Mbps port speed. 1.5 Mbps sustained for 1 month is 500 GB. Billing is calculated based on 95th percentile obtained by measuring the maxiumum throughput every 5 minutes and discarding the highest 5%. For example, we make 8,640 measurements in a 30 day month (30 days x 24 hours x 12 measurements per hour) and discard 432 measurements (0.05 x 8,640). Billing is based on the highest remaiing measurement.
** Committed traffic is billed one month in advance. Uncommitted traffic is an additional $20/Mbps. Uncommitted traffic is traffic above the committed amount and billed in arrears.
A customer transferring 11.7 Mbps is charged $1,173 ( (11.7-1.5) * $115)).
